About the San Diego Chinese New Year Food and Cultural Fair
2018 will be the 36th year for the San Diego Chinese New Year Food and Cultural Fair. It will take place on Saturday, February 24 and Sunday, February 25, 2018, from 10:00am to 5:00pm on both days. See below for address and map.
To pull off this truly special event, 2018’s fair is being sponsored by the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association of San Diego, with the help of The San Diego Chinese Historical Museum and the San Diego Chinese Center. The fair will be coordinated by Silk Road Productions, known for the Asian Cultural Festival, the San Diego Ramen Festival, and other large events.

Parking, Trolley, and Lyft Information
Parking: There is metered parking throughout downtown San Diego. There is also a paid parking lot J Street and 2nd Avenue. Horton Plaza, just north of our event location, has a parking garage with three entrances. Enter the parking garage at 4th Ave and F Street, G Street and 2nd Ave, or 3rd Ave & G Street. “Park it on Market,” a parking garage located at 614 Market Street, has 500 parking spaces on six levels, and is three blocks away from the festival grounds and charge $1.00 an hour. On Sunday, the meters are free and street parking is more flexible than on Saturday, when meters are only free after 6:00 pm.
Parking meters throughout San Diego are enforced from 8am to 6pm, Monday through Saturday. Parking at meters is free on Sundays and outside of the hours posted. Prking meters are active and enforced 10am to 8pm on streets between Broadway and Harbor Drive, from 1st Avenue to 7th Avenue, just west of Petco Park.
Trolley: Take the GREEN line and exit at the Convention Center stop. Exit trolley and head east on J Street about two blocks until you arrive at the fair.
